St. Matthew is proud to host Troop 92 of the Boy Scouts of America.  We have been their chartering organization since 1955.

Troop 92 is the oldest troop in the Lake Zurich/Hawthorn Woods area.  Scouts from 6th grade through age 18 participate in a variety of activities from hiking, rocket launching, and camping to high adventure and community service projects. Our goal is to follow the principles of scouting and to provide opportunities for the boys to gain Scout craft skills, to develop leadership skills and to have fun.

The Cub Scout Pack has been with St. Matthew since 1958.  Cub Scouts is for boys in 1st through 5th grades.  They participate in activities from archery to zoo trips.  Cub Scouting is full of fun hands-on learning.  The Pack meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 2 P.M.  The individual Dens meet more frequently.  Some advancement requirements are completed at Den meetings, but most are completed at home with the family.  Share your knowledge and enjoy the excitement.
