Gerrie Schulz is a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Elementary Education with certification in Early Childhood. She taught adult education in Cooperative Extension through the University of Illinois. She has been a substitute and assistant teacher for all grade levels. During her child raising years, Mrs. Schulz worked in the world of business in Art and Design. She later returned to education. In 1993, Mrs. Schulz assisted in the development of the preschool program at St. Matthew. Mrs. Schulz is a member of NAEYC, CAEYC and LEA. Her fondness for art, science and little children is evident in the classroom.

Jennifer Bauerle graduated from Roosevelt University in 1994 with a degree in elementary education. She went on to implement and teach an At-risk Kindergarten program for three years before deciding to stay home with her two children. During that time both of her children attended St. Matthew Preschool. In 2006, Mrs. Bauerle joined St. Matthew Preschool as a teacher. Mrs. Bauerle is also a member of CAEYC.
