IT IS TIME FOR US TO "SHINE"
It is time to SHINE with LCMS Northern Illinois District’s district-wide servant event “SHINE”.
St. Matthew will be participating in giving witness to the love of Jesus through acts of service to their neighbors and communities.
Part One of “SHINE” will be an “April Showers” event which will run through the month of April.
This service event will be collecting items for the following organizations:
Informed Choices - This organization helps women and couples facing and unplanned pregnancy by providing education and resources, empowering them to make an informed decision.

Keeping Families Covered - This great organization provides diapers for children and adults that are in need.
They also other basic needs, all to families in our own communities.

Items that are needed will be hanging on the, Angel of Joy, in the Narthex. All items are to be new and unopened.
All donated items must be brought back no later than April 27th.
Not able to get here to see the Angel of Joy?? Here are some of the items we are in need of:
Children's Diapers (all sizes), Adult Diapers (all sizes), Baby Rattles, 12 month size pajamas, Pacifiers, Infant grooming kit, baby fabric blankets. **All items must be new and in their original packaging**
The second part of “SHINE” will be a service event hosted by Sharing the Joy Ministry on May 3rd. We will be organizing all of the items that were collected and will be working with Keeping Families Covered preparing packs of diapers for them to distribute.

Place: Luther Hall
*A lite dinner will be served*
