Pastor Timothy Kinne
Senior Pastor [email protected] Pastor Kinne joined the staff of St. Matthew in August of 2010. As Senior Pastor he is responsible for the coordination of the congregation. He seeks to provide direction to the leadership, plans the worship services, teaches Adult Bible Study, the 3rd year Youth Confirmation class and religion at St. Matthew Lutheran School. Previously Pastor Kinne served congregations in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Prior to entering the Holy Ministry, Pastor Kinne taught high school (1975-1989) holding degrees from Concordia College, Seward, Nebraska and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne and was ordained in 1989. He and Debra—his bride of 37 years—have been blessed by the Lord with five children and eight grand children. Pastor Kinne is the co-host of Daily Devotions, seen on Facebook and YouTube. |
Pastor Edward Blonski, Sr.
Associate Pastor [email protected] Pastor Blonski was called to St. Matthew Lutheran Church in August of 2011, after serving parishes in California, Wisconsin and Michigan. He was ordained in 1995 and is a graduate of Concordia Seminary (1995) and Concordia University Wisconsin (1987). Pastor and his wife, Nancy, have three sons – Eddie, Kurt, and Mark – and a beagle, Sox. In addition to preaching, Pastor Blonski leads the Sunday Morning Adult Bible study, 2nd Year Confirmation class, Saturday morning Men’s Bible study, coordinates the Evangelism training and the Youth Ministry of St. Matthew. He also teaches religion at St. Matthew Lutheran School. In addition to being the Associate Pastor, he also hosts the True Man Podcast. He has authored five books. They are the In My Father's Footsteps series of devotions: Stores For Faith, Christmas Moments, Journey to Calvary, I Know That My Redeemer Lives and Christmas Moments II. He also authors a daily devotion, In My Father's Footsteps, and is the co-host of Daily Devotions, seen on Facebook and YouTube. |
Mr. Doug Duval
Church & School Administrator [email protected] After 38 years of service in public education as an elementary and secondary teacher, administrator and coach, Doug joined the St. Matthew Lutheran Church and School family in 2007 as the Church and School Administrator. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Northern Illinois University, Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and Supervision from Roosevelt University. Further studies at the University of Illinois, George Williams College and the University of Iowa. In addition to being the Church and School Administrator, Doug is the Principal of St. Matthew Lutheran School, the Cemetery Administrator, Director of Human Resources, and the head of sercurity for the church and school. Doug and his wife Linda are blessed with three adult children and spend many hours with their four granddaughters. |
Mrs. Cheri Selimos
Administrative Assistant [email protected] Cheri and her family joined St. Matthew in 2010. She formally was the St. Matthew Lutheran School, School Secretary and is now the Administrative Assistant of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Before Cheri was employed at St. Matthew, she stayed home to raise her children. Cheri is active in the Sharing of Joy Ministry at St. Matthew. Cheri and her husband Ted have been married for 23 years and have two children. |
Mrs. Linda Wollberg
Part- Time Church Secretary [email protected] Linda is a lifelong member of St. Matthew, a graduate of St. Matthew Lutheran School and Concordia College, Seward, Nebraska. Prior to accepting the position at St. Matthew in 2003, Linda was employed at Kemper Insurance for 29 years. Linda is a Meals on Wheels volunteer and volunteers as an usher and coffee hour host along with her husband, Royal. Linda has been married to Royal for 41 years, and have been blessed with three children and four grandchildren. |
Mr. Bob Wilson
Music Ensemble Director [email protected] B.S. in Ed from Northern Illinois University and a M.Mus from Northwestern University. He is a former band and orchestra director, guest conductor and clinician. He has been principal clarinetist with the Northshore Concert Band, the Northbrook Symphony and the Park Ridge Orchestra. After teaching he accepted a position in the music industry as VP of sales and marketing for the Getzen Company, makers of fine brass instruments, where he was director of national and international sales. There he worked with the wind players in the group "Chicago" and with the "Canadian Brass". He also has served in the music department at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Church of the Atonement, and St. Michael's Episcopal Church. He is still an active player and guest conductor and has a private studio of students that he teaches at home. |
Mr. Michael Gagne
Primary Organist [email protected] Previously to serving in the Music Ministry at St. Matthew Lutheran Church and Schoool, Michael served His Lord at Faith Lutheran in Arlington Heights and Grace Lutheran in Villa Park. Michael joined our Ministry Staff as the Primary Organist, December 1, 2014. Previously to this date Michael assisted in the Music Ministry by playing the organ on Saturday evenings, weddings and funerals at St. Matthewe-Hawthorn Woods. Michael did his undergraduate studies at North Park University in Chicago where he studied the organ under Mr. Leon Nelson. |
Mr. Jim Kuehm
Director of Praise Team Jim Kuehn directs the Praise Team at St. Matthew. He comes to us with 47 years experience in Lutheran contemporary music. Jim played the first "Folk Mass" church services at serveral Northwest Chicago Lutheran Churches and led Luther North High School Chapel services in the late 60's and early 70's. He has an Associates Degree in Classical Music Theory and Double Bass performance from Wright College in Chicago. Jim has been involved and has led many different styles of secular music groups over the years including Rock and Roll, Jazz, Wedding Mass and Reception, Folk and Popular Music. Within the last 15 years, Jim played in the Contemporary Praise Bands of Immanuel LCMS in Palatine and St. Peter LCMS in Schaumburg. Jim was asked to be Praise Band Director at St. Luke LCMS from 2005 to 2008 and went on to be Praise Director at Lord of Glory LCMS from 2008 to 2011. Jim currently is the Director of the Saturday Praise Team at St. Peter LCMS in Schaumburg while leading the Praise Team here at St. Matthew on Sundays. |
Debra Andersen BSN RN
Parish Nurse [email protected] Deb has been a Nurse since 2009. She joined the Army Reserves right after obtaining her Bachelor in Nursing at Clarkson College in Omaha Ne. and was sent to Fort Dix NJ for a year for her mobilization instead of out of country. While there, her husband Tom took a job at Abbott Molecular and they moved to Illinois in 2013. The Lord called her to be St Matthew Lutheran School and Church Parish Nurse in 2015. As a Parish Nurse, Deb practices to the holistic side of the congregation. Deb discribes her ministry as "I am here to listen, help, be a friend, ask health questions of, and most importantly pray with you." Deb enjoys participating in various BIble Studies and other Church activities." |
