Youth Confirmation

THE YOUTH CONFIRMATION MINISTRY of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hawthorn Woods is currently on a four-year schedule which normally will include 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades.
The Pre-Confirmation course is expected of all students in grade 5.
The three years of Confirmation instruction include Year 1 (grade 6); Year 2 (grade 7); and Year 3 (grade 8). The purpose of the instruction is to help baptized Christians identify with the ministry and mission of the church. It is also a way for Christians to learn more about their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to develop a more personal relationship with Him that is intended to last a lifetime.

The Youth Confirmation Ministry should be viewed as a stepping stone between the introduction of one's faith, which begins for many at their baptism, and a lifetime of growing in that faith.

2019-2020 THE YOUTH CONFIRMATION MINISTRY  kicked off new classes on August 18, 2019, 6:30p.m.-7:45p.m.   Pre-Confirmation Classes are held on Sunday's at 9:20am.
The Youth Confirmation Ministry is designed for all students from grade 6 through grade 8. The Youth Confirmation Ministry is currently on a three-year schedule.
