Welcome from The Rev. Timothy Kinne
Blessings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  It would be an honor, a privilege and a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet you.  Please know that you are always welcome at St. Matthew, to be present at a Worship Service, to participate in a Bible Study, to attend one of the many events offered through the year by the congregation, or to simply stop in and say Hi!

from The Rev. Edward Blonski
I’m glad you stopped by! But I wanted you to know that sometimes you’ll find me at the church, in my office. Sometimes you’ll see me up in front of the sanctuary leading worship or preaching. There are times you’ll see me in front of a group of men and women leading a Bible study. And maybe sometimes you’ll see me walking on one of the trails in the forest preserves or neighborhoods in Lake County. No matter where you find me, I’m always glad to see you and I’ll do what I can to take the time to talk with you (if I’m preaching or leading worship, we will have to wait till after the last song).

I'm New

Due to Covid 19 restrictions we are allowed 100 people per service,

How Do I Become a Member at St. Matthew?
St. Matthew Lutheran Church welcomes members into our community of faith in many ways.
  1. Being baptized at St. Matthew automatically makes one a baptized member of St. Matthew.
  2. Adult members and families may transfer their membership to St. Matthew from other congregations of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
  3. Other Christians may join St. Matthew after completing our Adult Discipleship Class, which teaches about St. Matthew and reviews the basics of the Christian faith.
  4. Those becoming Christians also complete the Adult Discipleship Class, at which time they may be baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. The Adult Discipleship Class is offered 3 or 4 times throughout the year. Call 847.438.7709 for more information.
